Perlove PLX7500 3D C-Arm systm with Dynamic detector
The Perlove PLX7500 (Skybow series) is a digital intraoperative mobile 3D C-arm imaging system with a dynamic flat-panel detector. It is designed for the operating room, providing real-time 2D fluoroscopy and high-resolution 3D, CT-like volumetric imaging from a single mobile platform. The PLX7500 is intended for hospitals and surgical centres performing spine surgery, orthopaedic and trauma procedures, fracture reduction and internal-fixation assessment, and other image-guided interventions. Medisense supplies, installs, and services the PLX7500 for healthcare facilities across the Philippines, with pricing quoted in PHP.
What it does
The system acquires X-ray images during surgery and reconstructs them into three-dimensional volumes, allowing the surgical team to view the operative region in 2D and 3D and to verify the position and contour of implants intraoperatively. Operators can switch between 2D and 3D ("intraoperative CT") modes, with a fast 3D acquisition completing in approximately 30 to 60 seconds. The iso-centric scan design keeps the target region centred in the beam throughout the orbital rotation to help reduce motion artefacts.
Key features and specifications
- Dynamic flat-panel detector: 30 cm x 30 cm (12 inch) CsI amorphous-silicon detector with 16-bit grayscale and high dynamic range for large-format 2D images and high-resolution 3D reconstruction.
- X-ray generator: 5 kW monoblock high-frequency, high-voltage generator with an integrated tube and adjustable pulse frequency.
- 3D imaging: motorized iso-centric orbital scan with 190-degree rotation; a single 3D acquisition can cover the whole cervical spine, whole lumbar spine, seven thoracic segments, bilateral sacroiliac joints, the femoral head, or unilateral pelvis.
- Displays: 34-inch diagnostic LCD monitor, a 27-inch LCD mounted on the C-arm for real-time viewing, and an 11.6-inch glove-operable touchscreen control panel.
- Motorized positioning: powered movement in 5 directions; 90 cm C-arm free space; flat-panel detector vertical travel of about 10 cm for adjustable source-to-image distance.
- Dose management: closed-loop smart dose control that adjusts dose dynamically during fluoroscopy, plus a low-dose pediatric mode.
- Workflow: mobile chassis with no external cables between the C-arm and chassis; optional wireless footswitch; anti-microbial surface finish.
Clinical applications
Reported areas of use include orthopaedics, spine surgery, trauma surgery, general surgery, pain management, urology, interventional procedures, and obstetrics and gynaecology, where intraoperative 2D and 3D X-ray imaging is required.
