The Mindray CL-900i is a fully automated, benchtop chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) analyzer designed for small- to medium-volume clinical laboratories. It is one of the world's smallest fully automated CLIA systems, integrating sample handling, reagent management, incubation, magnetic separation, and chemiluminescence detection into a single space-saving unit. Built on a micron superparamagnetic-particle platform using alkaline phosphatase (ALP)-labeled reagents and AMPPD substrate, the CL-900i detects the resulting chemiluminescent signal by photon counting through a photomultiplier tube (PMT), with an LED reference module for PMT calibration. It runs a broad menu of immunoassays across multiple clinical disciplines, making it a versatile consolidation platform for laboratories that need a wide test repertoire within a small footprint.
